A special milestone calls for a special partnership. On September 18, 2026, our partner Barsch GmbH celebrated its 40th anniversary during a festive event in Reiskirchen, Germany.

DJM Inkjet Solutions was present to join Barsch in a live demonstration of an innovative packaging solution: paper packaging combined with inline inkjet printing and flow wrapping.

For DJM, the anniversary was not only an occasion to congratulate Barsch on four decades of entrepreneurship, but above all a great opportunity to showcase our long-standing partnership and shared focus on innovative packaging solutions in action.

From concept to live demonstration
Preparations for the anniversary event began months in advance. Barsch wanted to showcase a complete packaging solution during the event, featuring a paper packaging material that is printed inline and subsequently processed within the flow-wrapping line.

A key aspect of the collaboration therefore involved integrating and preparing the inline printer within Barsch’s existing production line. Working alongside Barsch’s technical team, the necessary modifications and the optimal configuration for the demonstration were determined.

The material to be printed was also discussed and tested extensively beforehand. Since the application involved a specific type of light-brown paper, it was crucial to ensure the material’s properties and the print quality were perfectly aligned.

Collaborating down to the last detail
The DJM team traveled to Reiskirchen on Wednesday, September 16, to carry out the installation and configuration on schedule. The preparation had a specific objective: the inline printer was used to produce packaging for the anniversary guest gifts.

A total of 200 twin packs of Ferrero Giotto were produced. These were then packed into an outer box along with a pen, a notepad, and a sticker. In this way, the technology served not merely as a demonstration but became an integral part of the anniversary event.
